A fire in Penn North Friday has left a total of 31 residents without a place to stay.The fire began in a second floor unit at 1645 N. Calhoun Street right across from the Penn North Community Resource Center.The fire destroyed a total of 4 units in the building stanley cup , where 11 women and 20 men were living.These residents are new to the Penn North Substance Abuse program, the overarching organization of the Kids Safe program.Program organizers are actively working to relocate these men and women as soon as possible.Donations are being taken for the victims.Items such as coats, blankets, sheets, pillows and clothing can be sent to The Kids Safe Zone located at 1622 N. A man was shot and killed Sunday morning in the Penn-North neighborhood.
